5 Key Stats From UCA’s 56-17 Win Over UAPB
Bear’s offense racks up nearly 600 yards of total offense in dominant performance against UAPB on Saturday.
PINE BLUFF, Ark. โ No. 8 Central Arkansas didnโt send Arkansas-Pine Bluff back to Hog City, but the Bears did put on a as dominant performance in the 56-17 win.
The Bears scored 35 unanswered points in the second and third quarters to improve their record 3-1 overall and 1-0 in UAC play.

ShunDerrick Powell averaged 13.5 yards per run himself, finishing with 148 yards and two touchdowns, keeping himself in contention for the Walter Payton Award. The Bears ran the ball at-will against UAPB and will be a big part of future wins, too.

Thatโs number the number of incompletions thrown by quarterback Will McElvain on Saturday. He completed 18 total passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns. Austin Myers also saw time at quarterback, completing all three of his passes thrown for 22 yards. Those 21 combined completions went to eight different receivers, led by Malachi Henry with four catches for 87 yards and a touchdown.
