Baton Rouge, La., native selected to take over Bears’ program

“I am excited to have Avery join our team and lead our beach volleyball program,” said Whiting. “Avery’s experience and passion for the sport stood out in a talented field of applicants. As we engaged Avery throughout the process, it became evident that he was the right fit for our department, and we are looking forward to his leadership of our program.”

“I’ve seen this program from the outside since their first season in 2017 to now,” said Thibodeaux, “and always saw the potential of this school. I’m excited to step into this role where I can continue to build off of what UCA has become in these last few years. Coming into a great team and great culture, and only looking to add to that.
“I want to thank Matt Whiting for selecting me. After meeting with him and the entire staff, I knew UCA was a great place and community to call home.”
