Bears Quarterback Richesson Named UAC Offensive Player of Week

Richesson threw for 283 yards, completing 18 of 25 passes in big win over UAPB

CONWAY, Ark. — Central Arkansas quarterback Luther Richesson was named the United Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Richesson, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound junior quarterback from Nashville, Tenn., combined for 4 touchdowns in the 41-17 win over UAPB on Saturday at First Security Field at Estes Stadium.

Richesson threw for 283 yards, completing 18 of 25 passes with the longest pass going for 49 yards, including 3 touchdown passes. Richesson also rushed for 83 yards on 11 carries, including a touchdown run.

UCA (1-1, 0-0) will host Tarleton State (3-0, 0-0), in both team’s first UAC game of the season, this Saturday at 6 p.m. in Conway, on the Stripes.
