Brown’s, McElvain, Charles Lead UCA to Media Day at Texas Live!

First comments from Bears coach and key players for this year at second year of event in Arlington.

ARLINGTON, Texas — We’ll get our first views on Central Arkansas’s team a couple of weeks before practices start today at Texas Live! on Tuesday for the United Athletic Conference with a media day.

The event starts at 11:30 and will go until 3 p.m. and all teams in the conference will be talking about the second season of the new conference.

It will be the first chance to hear from Bears’ coach Nathan Brown, who will be there along with quarterback Will McElvain and defensive lineman Demetrias Charles. UCA will take the stage at 1:40 p.m.

All nine members of the league will be represented by their head coach and selected student-athletes from both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. The attendees will participate in the live interview portion on ESPN+ as well as several promotional photo/video and social media sessions.

In addition, the festivity includes the announcement of the UAC’s Preseason All-Conference Awards and Coaches’ Preseason Poll along with comments about the conference from both Commissioner Jeff Bacon (ASUN) and Commissioner Brian Thornton (WAC) .
