Razorbacks get more hits than Bears, but more homers downs UCA
UCA had seven hits, including three by junior third baseman Bryce Cermenelli, but only one for extra bases

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Central Arkansas out-hit third-ranked Arkansas on Tuesday night but three home runs carried the Razorbacks to a 9-2 victory in front of a crowd of 10,742 at Baum-Walker Stadium.
UCA (5-9) had seven hits, including three by junior third baseman Bryce Cermenelli, but only one for extra bases, a double by freshman shortstop Nathan Negre.
The Razorbacks (16-1), had just six hits but three of those were home runs that accounted for seven of their runs. They had two-run shots in the second and third innings by third baseman Brent Iredale and Kuhio Aloy, then added a three-run shot by Cam Kozeal in the fourth.
The Bears got a run in the fourth inning when Negre singled, advanced to second on a balk and to third on Cermenelli’s single. Junior right fielder Blaine French scored him with a base hit to right field to cut the deficit to 4-1.
UCA’s second run came in the seventh with an RBI single by Cermenelli that brought in sophomore left fielder Zeb Allen, who had walked.
UCA used eight pitchers in the game, with the final four holding the Razorbacks scoreless and striking out a combined six batters.
Junior Coleman MacRae struck out the side in the eighth and freshman Luke Lorence had a pair of strikeouts in the fifth inning. UCA starter Perry Titlow struck out two in the first.
UCA held Wehiwa Aloy, the current SEC Player of the Week, to 0 for 5 on the night.
The Bears left 10 runners on base, including the bases loaded in the sixth.
Arkansas, which improved to 14-0 at home this season, got two hits each from Iredale and Cozeal, and four RBI from Iredale.
