OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss didn’t need much help Friday night, but Central Arkansas gave it plenty anyway. The Rebels scored 20 points off 18 turnovers and won 92-60.

The loss leaves UCA at 1-1, while Ole Miss moved to 2-0. It’s one of those games the Bears play every year for a variety of reasons and John Shulman along with staff get key coaching points.

Luke Moore led the Bears with 11 points and went 3-for-5 from 3-point range. He also had a steal.

Camarion Bead scored nine on 3-of-4 shooting and made both of his free throws. Rylie Marshall had eight points and four rebounds.

Cole McCormick handed out five assists to go with five rebounds and a block.

Ole Miss scored the first two baskets and led 12-4 by the 15:51 mark. Ty Robinson had UCA’s first four points.

A Tucker Anderson layup cut it to 12-6 before the Rebels scored on three straight trips to go up 20-6.

Bead hit a jumper and two free throws to get the Bears back within 10 at 20-10.

He added a layup later in the half, and Anderson’s dunk and one made it 25-15 at 6:46.

That push didn’t last. Back-to-back turnovers led to an Ole Miss run, and the lead was 35-17 at 4:55.

Moore’s 3-pointer right before the buzzer sent UCA to the locker room down 47-24.

The Rebels opened the second half with a fast-break layup and a free throw to go up 50-24. Marshall answered with a 3-pointer, and McCormick later finished a dunk on a feed from Anderson.

Robert Young and Harrison Beauchamp also scored for the Bears, but Ole Miss stretched its lead to 64-36 with 11:48 left.

Beauchamp hit a 3 and Malchiah Marable turned a steal into a fast-break dunk to get UCA to 41 points. Ole Miss answered and went ahead 74-41.

Moore, Bead, Andrew Hoerner and J.C. Shulman each made a 3-pointer in the final minutes.

The Bears return home Tuesday, Nov. 10, to host Ecclesia at 6:30 p.m. at the Farris Center in Conway, Ark.
